Objective: Assess student progress.
Assessment: Test students on the Dip, Pirate R and CLE sight words. (Lists 31 – 44)

Other Syllable Sight Words
1. While you test each student individually (with the video below),
the class will continue studying the
– Silly Story –
– Bob Has a Purple Jungle Apple –
2. Each student comes to your desk and says the words as they appear silently
in the video (in the link below). They must say each word before it explodes.
Keep a record of the correct answers the student makes.
Stop after the student makes 4 errors in a row.
– Test Dip, Pirate R, and Consonant-le Sight Words –
3. When testing is done have the students finish reading aloud
– Silly Story –
– Bob Has a Purple Jungle Apple –
4. Make a note of which students need to continue practicing the letters and words. Students who need more practice can be retested on another day.
