Lesson 51: BEAUTY LETTERS
Objective: Learn about the Beauty letters (X, Qu, Ph, C, G, Y)
Assessment: Students read the words aloud and write them in their workbooks.
1. Watch the “Beauty Letters” part of
The History Of English According To Bob
2. Read or listen to
Tales to Tickle the Rules
3. Do a list of
Beauty Letters: List 45
a) Watch and repeat each word as they appear in the Practice video.
b) Study Section – Read the words and sentences.
Have the students repeat them aloud.
c) Students write the words and sentences.
d) Play the Test video and have students try to say the words before they burst.
4. Do lesson 1
a) Watch the scene.
b) Study the words with the students. (Use subtitle translations if possible.)
c) Play the “Say it” video and have the class say the lines along with the characters.
d) Do the Workbook Pages
e) Each student picks a character (Pam or Don) and they perform the scene together.
5. Exit ticket:
Each student must say the 5 sight words.
